Millie is a sweet, energetic girl looking for a grassy yard and someone to rub her belly. She's very clever and athletic, and would make an outstanding running buddy - though she is also perfectly content with a casual walk and a game of fetch.
Although she is learning how not to chase cats, Millie does have a high prey drive, and would do best in a home without cats or birds. She LOVES children and really wants to be friends with everyone. We're still working on her social skills around other dogs and larger animals, but she has one consistent play buddy here at Old Yeller, with whom she loves to zoom and wrastle. In person, Axle is a truly gorgeous dog. Axle came to us as a puppy, and aside from a brief foster, he has been with us ever since. He's now 7 years old. Axle has extensive obedience and recall training, walks beautifully on leash, and is a big, sensitive baby. He would make an outstanding hiking and running buddy! He is, however, what we call a "project" dog: he has very high prey drive, can be reactive, and can redirect. Although his behavior has been excellent in the past couple years, his ideal home would be one without any children or other pets.
