Moose came to us from doggy death row: he was going to be put down for aggressive behavior toward people. We are so glad he came to us instead! His rehabilitation has been astounding to witness!

With a little training and time to calm down, Moose has become a really fun dog. He is young and very energetic and goofy. He is also incredibly smart and learns quickly - there is virtually no limit to what you could teach this dog with a little work! He would make an excellent running and hiking buddy, or a ranch dog.

Because Moose's rehabilitation is ongoing, he needs an experienced owner who can continue his training.

Snooty

Snooty is a sweet and fun little dog. She is shy around new people (especially men and kids), but once she gets to know you she shows her playful side.

So far, she has been great with cats (she mostly ignores them), and pretty good with kids once she gets to know them. She's still learning how to be around other dogs, as we train her out of her resource guarding tendencies. Like so many of our other dogs, she simply never received the boundaries and leadership she needed, leading to
a lack of trust in people. For this reason, she needs someone with the patience and discipline to show her how to trust, and how to behave in unfamiliar situations.

If you want to learn more about Snooty, or to schedule a time to meet her, email ranchmanager@oyrr.org.

Millie is a sweet, energetic girl looking for a grassy yard and someone to rub her belly. She's very clever and athletic, and would make an outstanding running buddy - though she is also perfectly content with a casual walk and a game of fetch.

Although she is learning how not to chase cats, Millie does have a high prey drive, and would do best in a home without cats or birds. She LOVES children and really wants to be friends with everyone. We're still working on her social skills around other dogs and larger animals, but she has one consistent play buddy here at Old Yeller, with whom she loves to zoom and wrastle.

Staff and volunteers affectionately refer to this senior as The Godfather.

Mr. B was one of the first dogs at Old Yeller. His life before Old Yeller is a mystery to us, but if he could talk I'm sure he'd have some great stories to share!

Mr. B is a very sweet old boy, affectionately nicknamed The Godfather by some of our founders and original volunteers. At about 10 years old now, he loves nothing more than scratches and a sunny porch. Add in some fetch and tug-of-war and he is in heaven. He loves people and kids, but needs to be an only pet.

In person, Axle is a truly gorgeous dog.

Axle came to us as a puppy, and aside from a brief foster, he has been with us ever since. He's now 7 years old. Axle has extensive obedience and recall training, walks beautifully on leash, and is a big, sensitive baby. He would make an outstanding hiking and running buddy! He is, however, what we call a "project" dog: he has very high prey drive, can be reactive, and can redirect. Although his behavior has been excellent in the past couple years, his ideal home would be one without any children or other pets.

Bandit is a big, sweet, goofy boy who has been waiting for his forever home for far too long.

Bandit has considerable obedience training, loves kids and car rides, and is safe around cats. He is an absolute joy to walk, even around other dogs and all kinds of other distractions. In recent weeks, we have taken him on numerous structured pack walks with K-Nine Solutions, as well as casual walks around downtown Solvang and Los Olivos.

At about 95 pounds, Bandit requires an experienced owner who can handle his size and strength, and maintain his training. This big boy is a lot of dog, but he's such a joy to be around!

To learn more about Bandit, find us on Instagram and email ranchmanager@oyrr.org.
